How alcohol affects exercise

In my last blog, one of the things I said made up the ‘eating well’ part of training was not to go mad on the booze.  And lo and behold, today two of my Facebook friends posted links to this article about that very topic.

It’s short and easy to read so do have a look.  It’s in Women’s Health magazine, but I’m sure it’s relevant to men, too.

For what it’s worth, I’m really making an effort not to drink much at the mo in the interests of losing weight and maximising my training for The Outlaw in July (ironman distance triathlon). So it’s nice to know the abstinence is worth it!
